Alright, so this is a lot of firsts: first time uploading a picture, first time editing a photo on iPhoto, first time hoping people will think well of my work. Go ahead, give me anything. Whether it be good or bad criticism, I'll take it.
This is my little cousin. I love him to death and I could just cuddle with him all day. Sure, he can be a bit nosy and pushy sometimes, but he's just a curious little boy. So this is for you, Pru!
nice picture, lots of interesting textures. The dark area to the right of the tree trunk distracts a bit, but there really isn't much you can do about that. The only real suggestion I would have would be, next time, to compose the shot so the subject is not quite so centred, and maybe work with the aperture a bit to bring the subject out from the leaves in the background (you might experiment by slightly blurring the leaves>>??) It a really good shot, there is a nice sense of mood in the scene.
Wow, thank you so much for your comments. I'm not exactly a professional, so this helped me a lot. I'll be sure to make the editing better in the future.
no problems, they were just my thoughts on the picture... Best thing to do is take lots of pictures and think about what you like about them, and read a bit about how to take pictures. This picture shows you have an eye for what makes an interesting picture; keep taking them, posting them, and looking for feedback, and you will consistently improve! (which means you will be taking awsome pictures in no time!)
back when I started taking pictures it was expensive to take them, due to film an processing; now, you can take as many pictures as you like, experiment, and if it didn't work out... delete!
The photo is really good, the model, the place and the light sure help but there are some distraction that bothers me...of course are so little that maybe are not so important

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
This is YOUR opportunity to mock, ridicule and generally take great delight and amusement whilst poking fun at the beloved Volunteers and Staff of deviantART.

The greenery is lush, the tree old and the boy is lost in thought.
